The savings alone can pay for most of your surveying requirements when IDS
is on your next project.
One drilling project in Nevada completely missed a zone right in the middle
of their proposed exploration program because all of the drilled holes
followed a strong dipping geological structure and never came close to the
proposed target that they had intended to hit.
A South American gold company was required by their bank to provide surveys
of all their boreholes for the purposes of continued project funding.
Forty-five boreholes had to be re-entered with a truck-mounted drill rig in
order to open the holes up for the survey system. The survey results showed
the boreholes to be so scattered that the entire mine project and bore body
had to be re-evaluated.
